簡単で美味しいオイルパスタ／Easy-to-cook delicious spaghetti
今日は、一日自宅で料理をしたり、英単語を勉強したりしていました。夜にルッコラとベーコンのオイルパスタを作ると決めていたのですが、どうしてもお昼前から食べたくなってしまい、結局3回もオイルパスタを作ってしまいました笑。幸せです。
I cooked and learned new English vocabulary words today. Initially, I was planning to cook bacon and rocket spaghetti for dinner. But I couldn’t wait for dinner. So I ended up cooking similar spaghetti three times for every meal today LOL. I am very happy I did it.
1回目はルッコラとベーコンのオイルパスタ。2回目はほうれん草と鶏肉のオイルパスタ。3回目はルッコラとベーコンとほうれん草と鶏肉のオイルパスタを作りました。
I cooked bacon and rocket spaghetti for brunch, chicken and spinach spaghetti for late lunch, and bacon, rocket, chicken, and spinach spaghetti for dinner.
なのに！写真を撮り忘れた笑。ブログに載せようと思っていたのに。
And how did I even forget to take pictures of them?! I was thinking of posting them here…
レシピはこちらを参考にしました。レシピにも書いてある通り、パスタを茹でるお湯に塩を入れ、しっかり下味をつけることがポイントだと思いました。あとベーコンを使うときはベーコンの塩味が出ますが、鶏肉の場合はしっかりと塩で味付けする必要がありました。
I looked up the recipe online (Japanese). As the recipe says, it’s important to add enough salt to the water when you boil spaghetti. When I used chicken, I had to add more salt to the chicken than using bacon as bacon is already salty.
英単語／English Vocabulary
「1日10個の英単語を覚えられたらいいな〜」を目標に無理せずゆるゆると続けている英単語の勉強。今日は、10個覚えました。”Chalet”（シャレー）という単語を覚えました。アルプス地方に特有の木造の建物のことを指すようです。きっとこの単語を使う機会はものすごく少ないと思いますが、「いつか泊まってみたい！」と思ったので覚えることにしました。キャビンやロッジなど似たような言葉がありますが、シャレーは「アルプス地方に特有」というところが他の言葉と特に違うみたいです。
I am memorizing English vocabulary words aiming at ten a day. I try not to put any pressure on myself so that I can enjoy learning in a sustainable way. I memorized ten today. One of the vocabulary words was “chalet”. It means a wooden building or house in the Alpine region in Europe. I don’t think I will use the word many times. But I decided to memorize it as I would love to stay at a chalet in the future! The word means similar for me to “cabin” and “lodge”. The major difference about chalets seems that they are in the Alpine region in Europe.
ついでにキャビンやロッジなどと似たような印象のあるコテージについても調べてみたのですが、想像していた建物と違いました。英語でコテージと言うと昔ながらのお家を指すみたいです。
I also looked up the word “cottage” which I thought has a similar appearance to cabins and cottages. The actual image of the buildings was quite different from my assumption. Apparently, cottages in English mean old-fashioned houses.

エコーチェンバー現象／Echo Chamber
10月31日に衆院選の投開票がありました。今回の選挙では選択的夫婦別姓や同性婚が今まで以上に大きく注目されたと思います。選挙期間中、僕の周りには選択的夫婦別姓や同性婚の実現のために声を上げる人たちが多くいました。僕も声を上げました。でも実際に蓋を開けてみると、自分や周りの声と選挙結果に乖離があるように感じました。
We had a national election in Japan on October 31st. It feels like “allowing married couples to have separate surnames” and “same-sex marriage” had more attention than ever for a national election. During the election, so many people around me and I raised our voices for realizing “allowing married couples to have separate surnames” and “same-sex marriage”. However, it felt that the result of the election and the voices raised had a gap.
自分の意見と同じような意見が返ってきて、自分の意見が強化される現象をエコーチェンバー現象というそうです。この言葉はこれから選択的夫婦別姓や同性婚を実現する上で、とても重要な考え方だと思いました。
I learned that a phenomenon that you encounter opinions and information that reflect and reinforce yours is called “echo chamber”. I thought knowing the idea is very important to realize “allowing married couples to have separate surnames” and “same-sex marriage” in Japan.
一方で、この言葉が声を上げようとしている人や、上げている人のやる気を削ぐ言葉として使われたら悲しいと思いました。僕たちの声が響いているのはチェンバー（小部屋）なんかではなく、音漏れするほどのブチ上げライブを行なっているコンサート会場。そんな気持ちで引き続き声を上げていきたいと思いました。
At the same time, I don’t want the word to discourage people who are about to raise their voices and have been raising their voices. I would like to think that our voices being echoed isn’t in a chamber, but in a huge stadium, and people even outside can hear our voices. I will keep raising my voice with others until we get there.
